The Team at Crimson Soapbox comes from across the world.
We’re the international team, with roots in all corners: here’s more about us:
Anthony Smits
Team leader Anthony Smits calls himself a writer and adventurer.
The writing part began in earnest at 17; the adventuring not til later. But after mobile catering, house repiling, fatherhood, home designing, puzzle making, community management and bus driving, he’s got plenty to write about!
Fun things included designing buildings from earth and straw, and world wandering. Now he’s Blogging. Anthony says writing is one of his loves. He says he loves to chase words, and that there’s an article begging to be written wherever you look.
Ivin Viljoen
Ivin Viljoen is an online entrepreneur running a few blogs, providing online services. He is the editor-in-chief of Authopublisher.com, VP of Marketing at Blogengage and owner if IV Electronic Media Publishers.
After following a dream of leading his own church, Ivin started writing, completing his first book in three days. He says he draws from his life experiences and discipline he developed from building 2 very successful youth ministries.
Ivin has excellent testimonies from his peers and believe in the following blogging ethos: hard work, hustling to make dreams happen, white hat online marketing, being a team player and is bent on collaborations, building networks and synergy. He’s also an avid vlogger and podcaster.
Mitchell Allen
Mitch, whose favorite friend may be a word called Oeuvre, talks to Ostriches when he isn’t blogging or writing philosophy or fiction.
“I had to choose between being the funny dad or the creative dad. However, when I stepped into the plasma, I tripped over a rollerskate. The result was a mad scientist who cackles a lot.”
Mitch says that when not navel gazing, he scrambles words, ideas, programs and games. A former James Bond wannabe, Mich spent his youth studying the fingerprints of criminals. Along the way he discovered that his mother was bluffing about finding his prints ‘all over walls.’
Mitchell lists Scrabble and chess among his favorite games. His dad regularly beats him in Scrabble.
Rob Boirun
(Rob was the second casualty of ‘Surviving the Blog’, voted off in Week 3)
Rob ‘BowlingDead-Eye’ Boirun says he is also an ace at Hockey Shooting.
Rob says he was born in South Cally and raised in South Fla and now call home in Huntsville, Alabamer – but doesn’t have a Southern accent! He is however taking a liking to it, now having been around it for 7 years. Rob thinks he likes ‘y’all‘ and ‘roll tide’, whatever that is
.
Rob insists he’s not a traditional blogger, being mainly into ‘tech’ type stuff. He says he’s recently added a ‘blog’ and has started to spin the usual drab tech info into something a little more useful. Rob says he’s not like TechCrunch or some other tech blogs, mainly because he focuses on niches within the tech industry.
Rob’s worked at blogging/web design/IM/SEO for over 10 years now and really enjoys the freedom as he’s sure anyone else who calls the net home does.
Sylviane Nuccio
(Sylviane was the first casualty of ‘Surviving the Blog’, voted off in Week 2)
Sylviane is a native of France and has been living in the United States for over 15 years.
He describes herself as an online entrepreneur who loves to write on her own blogs and those of others. And she does so with great skill! This is probably because Sylviane says she’s always loved to write, for as long as she can remember.
Sylviane says she has a passion of helping people and thinks blogging has become a natural pastime and occupation for her.
She started blogging in 2006, when she didn’t even know what blogging was yet, and hasn’t stopped. Today she manages 6 different blogs in 5 different niches.
Please follow us, cheer for us and watch us Survive the Blog!
We hope in this place you’ll find inspiration to commit to achieve more than you have already, in whatever field you desire. For it’s through being authentic, and keeping commitments to ourselves, that we achieve what we dream.
Anthony, Ivin, Mitch, Rob and Sylviane
